1. Bring your four-legged friends to Fall Fido Fest at the Village at Grand Traverse Commons, a dog-friendly day of shopping with a pet costume contest and agility course. Visit Oct. 12 from 1-4pm at the Historic Front Lawn. thevillagetc.com/fall-fido-fest-2

2. Saturday also brings around Harbor Harvest Festival, the last hurrah of the Harbor Springs Farmers Market with cider and crafts alongside the final outdoor market of the year. Visit Oct. 12 from 9am-1pm on West Main Street. harborspringschamber.com/events/details/harbor-harvest-fall-festival-at-the-harbor-springs-farmers-market-15042
