CLIMB A TREE WITH BO

You might consider yourself a little like Tarzan or perhaps you’re more along the lines of Julia Butterfly Hill, the lady who lived in a tree to protect it from loggers, or you might just really like trees.

Bo Burke loves trees so much that he started a second business in addition to his arborist work. He teaches people how to climb trees with an eco-friendly, double-rope system and recreational harness.

“I started my recreational tree climbing company in 2011,” Burke said. “I have so much enjoyment just being in the treetops, I figured others would love it, too.”

Burke hosts climbs all year round and helps roughly 300 people climb trees every year. Each person is individually instructed and equipment is provided. If you have a specific tree you’d like to climb, Burke can even arrange to come to you in order to make that goal a reality.

Individual tree climbing instruction starts at $150; ask Burke about special rates for packages and groups at bo@boknowstrees.com.
