Petoskey-born and raised musician Sufjan Stevens released his eighth studio album, The Ascension, last September, but for those of you who (like us) can’t get enough of his poetic lyrics and ethereal sound, you can enjoy a bit of both on a new tune, “Song of Trouble,” which dropped last week Wednesday. The first single from the first solo album trumpeter CJ Camerieri released under his CARM moniker, the song was co-written with Stevens. And if it alone is any indication, the album in its entirety will an audio escape more than worth your time. Our hunch is helped by the fact that it also features contributions from Yo La Tengo’s Georgia Hubley and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon.
