Lana Del Rey Shares Her Summer Bummer

Singer Lana Del Rey (pictured) released her fourth album, Lust for Life, earlier this month, and she prefaced the album’s release with two new songs that are included on the set, the filmy “Groupie Love” and a collaboration with rapper ASAP Rocky on “Summer Bummer.” Also included on Lust for Life is “Beautiful People, Beautiful Problems,” a song that she recorded with Stevie Nicks. Del Rey is already promoting the new album with a pile of summer tour dates: She already played Lollapalooza Paris and has several additional festival dates coming up over the next couple of weeks, including Helsinki Finland’s Flow Festival on Aug. 11 and Krakow Poland’s Live Festival on Aug. 19 …
Latin singer-songwriter Maluma just signed a big publishing deal with Sony/ATV, covering his current catalog of music as well as future tunes. The Colombian-based performer is sitting at number two on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs Chart with his track “Felices Los 4” and has another tune out, with Shakira, called “Chantaje.” Maluma has also worked on tracks with a long list of fellow Latin music artists, including Don Omar, Thalia, and Ricky Martin …
Fleetwood Mac is set to be the first band ever honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year, in recognition of its musical accomplishments as well as a long record of supporting charitable causes, including MusiCares itself, which offers emergency financial assistances to musicians and others working in the music industry. The band will be feted at a tribute event at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, but that won’t be happening until Jan. 26, so the band members have plenty of time to ponder their formal wear. In the meantime, the band’s Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie are currently on tour promoting their duet side-project album …
Classic ’90s rockers Stone Temple Pilots is putting together a remastered 25th anniversary edition of its debut album, Core, which will be available in multiple formats and will include B-sides, previously unreleased demo versions of tunes (including several from the band’s early days, when it performed as Mighty Joe Young), live tracks including its 1993 MTV Unplugged performance, assorted music videos, vinyls, rare photographs, and more. The “Super Deluxe Edition” of Core will hit outlets on Sept. 29 …
