Founded in 1991, Northern Express is northern Michigan’s arts/entertainment/news and lifestyle weekly, with the broadest reach of any publication in the region. We distribute more than 30,000 copies of the Express each week with an average of 3.36 readers per copy — that’s a whopping 90,000 readers per week – far more than any other local newspaper. Each week we serve the region with investigative features, news, food, drink and restaurant coverage, opinion, and the region’s most comprehensive entertainment calendar.
Based in Traverse City with a sales office in Petoskey, Northern Express is found in 13 counties throughout northwestern lower Michigan in 625 locations, from Manistee to Mackinaw City, including the population hubs of Traverse City, Petoskey, Gaylord, and everything in-between.
